Hi Everyone,
We’re here in Malawi and it’s amazing. Endless rolling hills framing the famous lake. Wonderful people. We’ve been sleeping in caves (seriously), trekking in Nyika National Park and staying in little villages where the only other white folks they see in a given year is the local peace corp volunteer. Tomorrow we start a four day canoe trip up the remote northwest shore of the lake. No cars, no electricity, no banks.
Hope I’ve got enough money.
Only one problem – sat phone e-mail is down. We’re working on it, but if you’ve ever tried to “work on something” in Malawi, you’ll know that that poses serious problems.
That means I’ll owe you a serious update when we get back.

terry and barb
J & J. just catching up on your travels. I must first screen your experiences before I let Barb read same. First she would die and then have nightmares in the afterlife. Insects, snakes, company in the bathroom that hang and crawl would send both of us to distraction. Fantastic journey for those who can handle it. Janine your a lioness or queen or something. A warrior maybe. This has to be your second life at least. Don’t know what you were in the previous one. When we meet again, I have one question, WHY?? and don’t tell me because it was there. God bless and keep safe. I cannot bring myself to say comfortable. It has been a rough week here at home as you can well imagine. But we are all here for Marilyn in her time of most difficulty.
Love, Terry & Barb.
